- When You Pray, Say…, #4
- Luke 11:2, 3 NIV
Luke—who said that Jesus always prayed aloud and could be heard by His disciples—said that one disciple asked Jesus to teach the group to pray. Jesus instructed that when we pray, we do not need to pray in unison. Jesus taught prayer. He taught the beatitudes and the model prayer. But this prayer is for provision. It is a request that God, the Father, meet our daily needs, not wants, and sustain and nourish us.
In case you might be wondering about your own brokenness, needs, or forgiveness, be reminded that God has already forgiven you and restored you through Jesus Christ, who calls Himself the bread of life (John 6:35).
