Though we are unsure of the author of this chapter, we know it is the longest chapter in the Bible.
And we are sure the word of God shows how things are already mapped out for us. The word of
God directs us. It is like a candle, a lamp, or a light. It is a light that shines on the road man must
tread.

When and if we find ourselves in a situation of not knowing God’s will for us, all is not lost because
scripture is the lesson. It is a lamp for our feet, and a light for our path. Read, memorize, and meditate
on God’s word. In doing so, we become empowered to  understand life’s course ahead of us, avoiding
getting lost. The word of God is like a torch lighting the way in the dark. It keeps us from stumbling.
God is keeping us from wandering onto paths leading to danger.
