Paul reminded the church of Corinth that the gospel is not new, but the original gospel he had preached when walking with Jesus. By this gospel you are saved. And salvation is an ongoing process. God begins a work in you that you will become more like Him.

God sends us daily reminders, via angels, sermons, Bible study, fasting, and praying. He sends reminders through meditation, afflictions, delays, relationships with others, even epiphanies. These avenues are all designed to remind us of who we are and whose we are.
