Paul told Titus how the people of the church at Crete had to align themselves on God’s truth; and how order needed to be in God’s house. Titus’ influence was to give the church sound doctrine. He had to demonstrate knowledge of what he was talking about, like influencers on Instagram might do today. Titus’ influence was key in demonstrating the need to be obedient to God and sound in faith, as well as a model for younger people. Living righteously shouldn’t be seen as a chore, but an honor.
